This is probably the weirdest myth ever devised, but it has to do with absolutely nothing from the Final Fantasy series. I'm talking of course of the "Nova Born" artifacts that you may have heard of from some people. Although I am not completely intrigued by the whole idea of acquiring these pieces of armor and weaponry, it IS rather fun to go out and just try to get at least one of them because the payoff is huge.

This quest leads you from the Friendly Creatures Sidequest all the way to the fight with the Nova Dragon in the Lifa Tree entrance in Disk 4. Here's what to do: First acquire the Ultima Weapon in Disk 4, then encounter all the friendly creatures if you haven't already. After that, put Amarant in your party and go to each location of the Friendly Creatures once again in order starting with Muu. You'll know you've done everything right so far if Muu appears and asks for an Ore all over again.

Now some of you may be asking, what if they ask for a stone that is already gone and can never be acquired again. Well, that is perfectly fine, the game will know if you are unable to get the specific stone needed by the creature if it senses you cannot go back to retrieve the stone. Get it? So if say for example the Jabberwock asks for a Moonstone and you already gave it one before, do not fret, here's where the Ultima Weapon comes into play. Have Amarant throw it, yes throw it at the Jabberwock and he will say "Be sure to say HI to Nova Dragon for me!" When you see this, you can skip all the other creatures because you will not be able to get the Ultima Weapon back, well you will, sort of…you'll see.

Now, when you are ready, fly all the way to the Lifa Tree and past the cinemas and fight Nova Dragon. Only this time you'll notice you can target each of its parts (i.e. both wings, the spear on top of its head, its head, feet, tail and EYES?!) Have Zidane equipped with the best thief accessories possible and steal every part of the Dragon, this is where you can acquire all the Nova Born weapons and armor.

The Spear on top of its head is a Nova Lance (Freya), the left wing is a Nova Wing (Zidane), the right wing is a Nova Cloak (armor for mages (absorbs all elem magic), the tail is a Nova Pike (Freya (casts Martyr*), the feet are Nova Talon (Amarant) and Nova Fork (Quina), the eyes are Nova Pearls (accessory that absorbs Holy and Shadow Magic), and finally the head is a helmet for Zidane called the Nova Cap (status effects are nulled and Regen is cast).

Neat huh? Easy? Nope, each artifact is rarely stolen, to give a ballpark number you can steal the Nova Wing (replacement for Ultima Weapon) since it is the easiest to steal at a mere one out of every 658 tries. The rest are either double or quadruple the amount of attempts. Good luck, but as I said, the payoff is huge. The Nova Cloak not only absorbs all elem magic, but it has a defense rating of 255 that's enough to take a beating from a Behemoth and only take 2 to 3 pts of damage! Oh, and Martyr, that's basically a fancy name for Zidane's Sacrifice skill, its no biggie. Now why two weapons for Freya? Well if you notice, onle one of them has a real use to it, the other just makes her commit suicide whenever the party's HP gets low, so its your choice.

Well how was that? Fun enough for ya? Wanna go and try it? Well good luck, because its only a myth…
