Have you all been noticing a little pattern in these myths? They all require some mathematical inquiry. Well not so with this myth. This one comes to us directly from Final Fantasy IX itself, Alexander is dead, boo hoo, not so when you do this trick though. They say Aeris couldn't be revived, that is so true. But as for Alexander, he is a true Holy entity, "Immortal" would be a better way of putting it I believe. Anyways, yes you can acquire him and yes you need both Dagger and Eiko in your party to summon him. Here we go:

For you to accomplish this trick you need to be in Disk 4 and in the final stages of the game, more specifically, the Crystal world. You'll notice that when you are in the Crystal world that all the enemies are crystallized versions of the Four Fiends. Although they are big bosses, their crystal forms are significantly weaker in power and HP. Anyway, when you are in the Crystal room walk around fighting more and more and at around the 36th fight you'll encounter Pink Puffs (you'll remember them from Final Fantasy II/IV). They are pretty tough when attacked physically (weapons only cause 1 pt of damage!) but they are extremely weak versus Holy magic.

Once you defeat them you are rarely given an item known as "White Materia", if you are lucky enough to get this, then take a breather and get ready for more. You are gonna need two of these things, and believe me it ain't fun, it almost makes acquiring Alexander worthless. Once you get two White Materias equip Eiko and Dagger each with one. You can't learn Alexander from them, they are mearly accessories that allow you to summon him. You can can't summon the Big guy unless both Dagger and Eiko are in your current party, which leaves you little choice in party preferences. But believe me this guy will more than make up for the inconvenience.

If you thought Ark was powerful and cool, Alexander makes Ark look like Cracker Jack prize. I won't explain the cinema because it just takes tooooo long to complete. It basically has Dagger and Eiko praying next to each other and Alexander flying through what looks like Life Stream, its just cool so check it out. As for damage, Alex can hit for more than the max of 9999, it all depends on level, if Dagger and Eiko are in high levels, the attack can reach well over 40,000. Its just amazing. The cost for casting this extremely powerful summon? Dagger and Eiko's lives. But you can easily counter this with any revivifying technique (Phoenix Down, Auto-Life etc…). Its more like a one-shot deal towards the end of the game since the enemies just attack way too fast for you to revive the girls in proper fashion.

No MP, just the lives of two of your female comrades, you make the choice, personally I'd go for the double kill since Alexander can easily wipe out the final boss if your levels are high enough. But remember its just a myth…
